Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“DPL”) and the Communiqué on the Principles and Procedures for Fulfilling the Duty to Inform.

At Early Birds Consulting, led by Regina Kruse Özçelik (“Data Controller”), we place great importance on the security and protection of your personal data. With this in mind, we handle the processing and storage of all types of personal data collected in accordance with the DPA and relevant regulations with the utmost care.

As stated in the DPL, we are aware that, as a “controller,” we are responsible for personal data processed by the controller or on the controller’s instructions. We process your personal data as described below and within the limits permitted by law.

1. Data Controller

In accordance with the DPA, your personal data may be processed in connection with the activities of Early Birds Consulting, operated by Regina Kruse Özçelik as the “data controller,” as explained below.

2. Collection, Processing, and Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is collected directly from you, either electronically or in paper form.

Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of promoting consulting services by including it on the website https://www.earlybirds.consulting/ with your express consent.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with the principles of lawfulness and fairness, accuracy, and—where necessary—up-to-date status, for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes, and in a manner that is relevant, appropriate, and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. It will be stored for the period required by applicable law or necessary for the purposes of processing.

3. To whom and for what purpose the processed personal data may be disclosed

Your personal data will be published in print media, visual and digital media, and on platforms, limited to the purposes specified in Article 2.

4. Legal Basis

The personal data collected by the data controller will be processed in accordance with the purposes set forth in Articles 2 and 3 above, based on your explicit consent pursuant to Article 5(1) of the DPL.

In addition, we would like to inform you that you have the right to withdraw your explicit consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent takes effect on the date of withdrawal and does not affect the lawfulness of data processing activities carried out prior to the date of withdrawal.

5. Rights of the data subject

If you, as a data subject, submit requests regarding your rights using the request form below or through another method specified in the “Notice on the Principles and Procedures for Submitting Requests to the Data Controller,” the data controller will respond to your request free of charge as soon as possible, but no later than thirty days, depending on the nature of your request. However, a fee may be charged if deemed necessary by the data protection authority.

Pursuant to Article 11 of the DPL, the data subject has the following rights:

  • To find out whether your personal data has been processed;
  • to request information about the processing if the data has been processed;
  • To learn the purpose of the processing of your personal data and whether it is being used for that purpose;
  • To know the third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred, whether within the country or abroad;
  • To request the correction of your personal data if it has been processed in an incomplete or inaccurate manner, and to request that this correction be communicated to the third parties to whom the data has been disclosed;
  • To request the erasure or destruction of your personal data if the grounds for processing no longer exist (even if the data was processed in accordance with the DPL and other relevant laws), and to request that this action be communicated to the third parties to whom the data was disclosed;
  • to object to a decision based solely on the automated processing of their personal data that produces adverse effects on them;
  • to claim compensation for damages resulting from the unlawful processing of their personal data.

In addition, we would like to remind you that you have the right to withdraw your explicit consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent takes effect on the date of withdrawal and does not affect the lawfulness of data processing activities carried out prior to that date.

The data controller reserves the right to make changes to this privacy notice in response to potential amendments to the DPL and decisions by the data protection authority.
