About me
Children need a kindergarten and school experience full of adventure, discovery, and genuine joy in learning. We, who accompany children on their journey through childhood, have the opportunity and the responsibility to create this environment.
Learning should be fun and must be sustainable.
My motto shapes not only my professional work with children and adults, but also my role as a mother of two now grown-up children.
I enthusiastically dedicate my time and experience to children so that they can master their educational journey with a smile!
My mission
I spent my childhood on our farm in northern Germany. As a member of a large, multi-generational family, I was able to gain extensive experience in micro farming, sustainable engineering projects, and teamwork. Outdoor education and ecological concept development were practically handed down to me from birth. During my training as a state-certified educator, I realized that these fundamental early childhood experiences would have a decisive influence on my professional career as an educator.
In 1990, Istanbul became my adopted home, and as a mother of two children, I established three kindergartens, one after the other, which enabled both my own children and many others to enjoy a happy childhood. My educational centerpiece is the Early Birds Istanbul Kindergarten, whose history I have immortalized and made available to you in my book Constructed Chaos, soon to be available in German and Turkish.
Project-based learning remains my philosophy of life to this day, and in my previous locations such as Northern Germany, Greece, Türkiye, and Ghana, it has opened doors for me and my fellow human beings to personal and professional development.
Whether it's consulting and coaching for a fresh start or concept development for kindergartens, schools, clubs, and organizations, my time belongs to the children and those who support them along the way. The unique synthesis of curiosity and hands-on, sustainable building projects creates the "I Can…!" foundation upon which the future can be built.
My journey continues, and perhaps we’ll soon be traveling part of the way together.
